The local area of the house is extremely idyllic, with nearby Stradbally offering all the essential amenities of local shops and inviting pubs, as well as the town being home to the renowned Electric Picnic Festival, presenting an eclectic mix of music and art, it attracts hundreds of visitors every year and is well-worth a visit if you’re staying in the summer months!

If you’re seeking a plethora of walking routes and a scenic experience, head to nearby Portlaoise, boasting rambling routes of all kinds through its extensive number of gardens, its Laois Garden Trail and Ballintubbert Gardens being some of the best, there’s plenty to see here, alongside its Embroidery Museum and Stradbally Steam Museum being the perfect way to learn about the rich history of the area.
